Gaz Whiter takes another win in the lead up to the Grand Final.

Three-time former D1NZ champion Gary 'Gaz' Whiter (LS-Powered Nissan S14) is back on top of the Cody's D1NZ National Drifting Championship leader board after top-scoring in qualifying and claiming his third round win of the season - as well as victory in the BP Triple Crown series-within-a-series - at the Christchurch round of the 2013/14 series on Sunday.

Xtreme-Sponsored Gaz Whiter had closed the gap on fellow D1NZ Competitor “Mad Mike” Whiddet leading up to this round but with a gearbox failure in the RX7, Gaz was able to leave the weekend with a commanding lead going into the Grand Final in Auckland on May 23rd / 24th.

The LS-Powered Nissan S14 of Gaz Whiter’s uses an Xtreme 230mm Twin Plate Ceramic Clutch Kit with a Chromoly Flywheel.

Competition drifting pushes cars to their absolute limits mechanically so reliability is key. I’ve been using an Xtreme 230mm twin plate clutch for two seasons now and it’s proven to be stronger than many other brands used previously. We inspected it after the first season and it looked brand new!
