Xtreme takes 3 out of 5 spots in Round 1 of the 2012 Australian Drifting GP
Xtreme Clutch has made it 3 out of 5 for Round 1 of the Australian Drifting GP, held at Symmons Plains Raceway, Tasmania. The 1st Round saw a field of 32 cars qualify on the Saturday to begin battles on the Sunday. Xtreme-Sponsored Michael Truscott made it into the Top 8 in his Nissan S13 but did not progress into the Top 4 finishing in 5th place.
Xtreme-Sponsored Danny Vahoumis in his Nissan S15 made it into the Top 4 however could not battle with Tasmanian Local Ben Purtell due to a brake failure which was deemed too dangerous to allow the car to continue therefore finishing in 4th place. Ben Purtell took 3rd place with the Top 2 spots going to veteran Queenslander Rob Whyte in his Monster Energy Drink Nissan 350Z & Luke Fink in his Holford Motors Nissan S14. Both drivers’s showed some very aggressive driving in both battles with Luke Fink narrowly taking the win. Luke Fink's Nissan S14, now making over 350RWKW's is still using the Xtreme Carbon Triple Plate Clutch supplied almost 4 years ago.
